This Day, Friday, 9th October, 2020 has acquired significance because it marks the achievement of another milestone in the Glorious history of Tura Public School, Tura.

It is a day of pride because, though   late, we have been successful in the creation and launching of  a website  for this prestigious   Institution  –  www.turapublicschool.in

This Institution was   established on 14th March, in the year 1981, by the Department of Education, Government of Meghalaya. This is the only Government Public School in  Garo  Hills, which has been  conferred the status of a Special School ,  among the five Government Public  Schools of Meghalaya.

It has come a long way and played a stellar role in its contributions to the community and country as a whole.

TPS is a co-educational. Government   institution, affiliated to the CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, Delhi.) With the Affiliation Code No.ME003,

The School is nestled amidst the rich greenery and serene surroundings, away from the noise and din of the town area. It is a delightful experience driving towards the School along the tree-lined avenue.

One would be greeted by the rich vegetation and the imposing   Gulmohur    tree in the midst of the vast expanse of the School field, and of course, the excited screams and shouts of children as they play and run about.

Ever since its inception, the biggest asset  and the strength  of this Institution has always been its team of dynamic,  highly qualified and hugely talented faculty- both Teaching and Non- Teaching— all truly veterans in their own fields, who have stood the test of Time.

The Parents and stakeholders have always been extremely supportive, cooperative and forthcoming with their suggestions.

A lot of Infrastructural developments have been possible,  largely owing to the support of the Parents and the School Management Committee

I feel privileged to be a part of this prestigious institution which has given me an identity I am proud to carry.

I salute the Pioneers of this School and all Head/ Teacher/ Office Staff Retirees who had so selflessly sweated and toiled and breathed life into this Institution, securing its roots. Thank you for infusing colour, dimensions and purpose into its Soul.

I also  earnestly appeal to all the students  and Alumni  of TPS to live up to its motto “to Glow in Integrity,” and may your dreams and aspirations be fulfilled, being so nurtured  and cradled in the most child – and eco- friendly ambiance of this Institution. May you always have only fond memories and a sense of belonging towards this School.

May the Almighty Lord Bless our School and every TPSian.
